NEC, a Japan-based multinational leader in the integration of IT and network technologies, was seeking to optimize costs and streamline data systems to increase integration across its lines of business. As part of advancing its digital transformation, NEC will migrate from on-premise 疯拍传媒 S/4HANA software to 疯拍传媒 S/4HANA Cloud and adopt a clean-core approach, which emphasizes standard offerings and extends them while also reducing future upgrade and operational costs.

NEC is currently operating a large-scale system that includes 1,200 add-ons and more than 200 external interfaces. To migrate to the cloud, NEC will use generative AI to facilitate a clean-core transformation, streamline migration costs and improve operational efficiency. NEC鈥檚 generative AI and 疯拍传媒鈥檚 Joule copilot for natural language processing will automate critical processes such as add-on analysis, report interpretation, code generation from specifications and test automation. Doing so will allow it to record and report on its Scope 1 and 2 emissions in Thailand and select Scope 3 (3.1 and 3.4) for its feed business in Thailand covering both FLAG and non-FLAG emissions. IBM also plans to leverage 疯拍传媒 Signavio and 疯拍传媒 Business AI solutions to help define next-generation business processes through a proof-of-concept adoption program.
  • Next-Generation Industry Innovation: IBM and 疯拍传媒 plan to build intelligent industry use cases, enabled by data-driven insights, into end-to-end business processes to fuel next-generation industry innovation. These use cases will initially focus on the industrial manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, defense, automotive and utilities industries. This includes IBM鈥檚 recent work with 疯拍传媒 to develop new AI solutions for the CPG and retail industries. As part of this initiative, IBM has begun the development of an extensive portfolio of over 100 AI solutions across industry, line-of-business and product delivery. In addition, IBM plans to develop prescriptive industry value maps that define next-generation business processes and opportunities for impact with AI. Clients will be able to access all of these new AI solutions through the global and sites.
  • Next-Generation Platform Architecture and Customer Adoption Approach: Next-generation enterprises require next-generation platform architectures and a modernized approach to customer adoption. Through the Value Generation partnership initiative, IBM intends to provide next-generation reference architectures that enable a clean core approach. To do this, IBM plans to leverage 疯拍传媒 BTP, 疯拍传媒 Signavio and  LeanIX solutions. These new reference architectures will help define standards across data, process, systems and device integration, process orchestration and automation. Offsetting Migration and Transformation Costs with Incentives

To recognize the investment made by 疯拍传媒 customers and to help offset the cost of migration and transformation, 疯拍传媒 is announcing a limited-time offer that may reduce the cost of migration up to 50% and shorten the time to value. Through the end of 2024, when moving to the RISE with 疯拍传媒 or GROW with 疯拍传媒 solution, 疯拍传媒 S/4HANA and 疯拍传媒 ECC customers will have access to credits that can be applied to offset the cost of maintenance, cloud services or cloud subscription. This incentive will include 疯拍传媒 S/4HANA Cloud and line-of-business solutions such as supply chain, human resources, spend management, CRM, business transformation tools and the business technology platform for extensibility.

RISE with 疯拍传媒 Methodology Provides Consistency and Quality

To drive predictable timelines for projects, all implementations 鈥 both through 疯拍传媒 and our partner ecosystem 鈥 will follow the RISE with 疯拍传媒 Methodology. It will provide project progress transparency, with key milestone checks. Digital-First Company for Consumer Engagement

Exuviate Transformation Wins 疯拍传媒 Innovation Award

Versuni builds a digital-first future with RISE with 疯拍传媒

To establish a foundation for future growth, Versuni adopted an outside-in approach to harmonizing and simplifying all processes in a bid to achieve end-to-end transparency. The IT project was given a fitting name, 鈥淓xuviate,鈥 to describe how the organization shed its old technology layer so it can transform into something new and distinctive as a consumer-focused enterprise.

Versuni worked with to carry out an organization-wide, greenfield implementation by leveraging for processes, (疯拍传媒 BTP) for collaboration and integration, and for cost control. While firmly adhering to best practices, Versuni laid out a strategy guided by a crisp logic: 鈥湻枧拇 unless鈥; cloud unless鈥; and best of suite.鈥 Considered to be one of the largest RISE with 疯拍传媒 projects in any industry, the transformation was completed in a record 18 months, when Versuni transitioned to 疯拍传媒 S/4HANA Cloud, private edition in all countries.

With the new 疯拍传媒 environment, Versuni reports 30% enhanced agility in its responsiveness, 85% improvement in standardization and harmonization, and 50% increased employee engagement. In recognition of its outstanding success, Versuni鈥檚 Exuviate project was chosen as an in the Industry Leader in Consumer Products category. Opportunity for a New HR

The Exuviate project had set in motion the total transformation of Versuni鈥檚 IT landscape and established new business processes. The challenges facing Versuni鈥檚 HR department, however, were especially formidable: after the transition, there would be no way to manage and compensate Versuni鈥檚 workforce unless a new HRIT system was up and running globally. Relying on its legacy software was not an option.

Versuni鈥檚 HR team chose to help maximize value and maintain a clean core, one of the priorities of the Exuviate project. The team doubled down on the opportunity to achieve a full-scale HR transformation that affected all underlying HR policies.

鈥淒ue to the new setup of Versuni, we wanted to have a new HR policy for all countries, meaning we had a new organization structure to manage, new job family structure, new competencies for jobs, and a new salary structure,鈥 says Amber Smeulders, business unit lead, HR Xperience expert at听 and hired by Versuni as program manager to manage the full HR digital transformation. 鈥淭his was the biggest challenge in our program: it should be a happy marriage between managing a new HR policy together with following the design principles of best practice.鈥

鈥淭he HR transition to 疯拍传媒 SuccessFactors solutions in itself was a massive task, so we ran the HR transformation as a separate pillar within the Exuviate transformation,鈥 says Rastogi. This required Versuni to deploy 疯拍传媒 SuccessFactors solutions in less than one year.

鈥淲e did it in 10 months from design to deployment,鈥 confirms Rastogi. On April 1, 2023, Versuni went live in 52 countries simultaneously with 15 modules of 疯拍传媒 SuccessFactors solutions, including , , , and .

Reporting Gains Strategic Value in Connected Cloud Landscape

Although Versuni was satisfied with the operational reporting available in 疯拍传媒 SuccessFactors solutions, it also needed cross-organizational reporting that leveraged data available in the connected 疯拍传媒 landscape. Therefore, Versuni and 疯拍传媒 created a solution for its management reporting. 鈥淲e tried it out in HR as a proof of concept,鈥 says Rastogi. 鈥淚t was highly successful and now we intend to roll it out across the organization. It brings quite some benefits in terms of insights into our HR data.鈥

Smeulders agrees and looks forward to strategic insights from 疯拍传媒 SuccessFactors with the connected environment. 鈥淲e would like to combine the HR data with data coming from the other 疯拍传媒 systems to really understand what is best for us when we talk about investment in positions, in HR policies, and in the right talents,鈥 she says.

Complete Transformation in Record Time

By connecting cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) to 疯拍传媒 SuccessFactors solutions, Versuni has achieved three key benefits. It now has a seamless user journey based on a single source of truth across the entire landscape. Another benefit is the increased visibility achieved from the integration with other systems, especially finance. Also, improved reporting is leading to better decision-making. Rastogi summarizes: 鈥淚t鈥檚 one source of truth, one system, and one number.鈥

Enhanced employee experience is among the additional benefits of the HR transformation. Payroll consolidation resulted in a reduction of more than 20 providers into one global provider. Versuni lowered costs with a 70% reduction of local applications. Localization for time and attendance is now supported. Nearly all HR processes are now available on a mobile device.

Is it the support you receive when something goes wrong? Is it the availability in the market or the compatibility with other products? Is it the rewards you are offered for being a loyal customer?

When I鈥檓 in the market for new sport shoes, I stick to the brand that I know is the most comfortable for me. There鈥檚 nothing worse than buying a pair of sneakers and going jogging with them for the first time, only to realize in the first few minutes of your run that they don鈥檛 fit properly.

On the other hand, if I鈥檓 shopping for groceries, it鈥檚 how healthy the product is, then the selection, freshness, and price that matter the most. Time is also a factor 鈥 the quicker I can find exactly what I need, the better.

But what happens if another sport shoe manufacturer sets up a loyalty program, allowing me to collect points and offering discounts? Or, what if a new grocery store opens that allows me to save even more time by eliminating the checkout counter? Would that make me change my buying behavior?

What I鈥檓 talking about is loyalty in the context of customer experience. It鈥檚 different for every industry. How can you as a supplier or service provider ensure that you are offering the best experience possible to your customers?

Loyalty Is a Very Noisy Space

Recently, I spoke to Riad Hijal, head of Commerce Solution Management at 疯拍传媒 Customer Experience. 鈥淟oyalty is a very noisy space. I think for retailers, for example, to be successful and ultimately drive customer lifetime value through loyalty, they need to cut through that noise,鈥 he said. 鈥淲e as consumers are faced with dozens of rewards or loyalty accounts 鈥 most of them aren鈥檛 really driving any kind of real modification in behavior.
